Description:
The memorial is situated in a park. The entry has two pillars joined by a green wrought iron arch supporting the words "LEST WE FORGET". The memorial is a concrete and marble obelisk surmounted by a cross, surrounded by a garden. The base of the obelisk has several plaques dedicated to different conflicts. The lower tier of the obelisk has names of those who fought in World War 2, while the upper tier has names of those who fought in World War 1. The memorial was re-dedicated on 11th November 2003.

Notes on Veteran Names: No records can be found for deceased veterans from this area with the following names: D Harbison, N McDonald. The status codes for these veterans have been left as KIA as that is what is indicated by the memorial. All other status codes for deceased veterans have been taken from information in the Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour and Commemorative Roll, the World War Two Nominal Roll, and the National Archives of Australia. On the memorial, H O Norton Knight is given as J Norton Knight (there are no records for a J Norton Knight having served). Australian War Memorial records show that W Napier was awarded a DFM, and R B Smith a DFC.

Inscription:
At the entrance to the memorial area are 2 plaques.

They should not grow old as we that are left grown old. Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning we shall remember them.

This stone was set by Sir George Fuller K.C.M.G.M.L.A. Chief Secretary on August 4th 1919

This memorial was erected by the people of Bowral and Glenquarry in honour of those who served the Empire during the GREAT WAR 1914 1918.

To the memory of the citizens of Bowral who sacrificed their lives in World War II 1939 - 1945 and eternal gratitude to those who also served.

To the memory of the citizens of Bowral who sacrificed their lives in KOREA 1950 -54 and in eternal gratitude to those who also served.

To the memory of the citizens of Bowral who sacrificed their lives in Vietnam 1962 - 73 and eternal gratitude to those who also served.

To the eternal hope that peace will prevail for evermore.

In memory of the fallen and the unknown Australian soldier 75th anniversary of Remembrance Day 11.11.1993.
