Registered clubs are founded on the same principles of shared service and friendship that have always characterised Australia's armed servicemen and women. It is therefore with pride that ClubsNSW supports the founding of the Register of War Memorials in NSW.
The project is an important opportunity to commemorate these people's bravery and selflessness in fighting for our country.
The Register provides a lasting testament to defence forces. It enables young people in NSW to remember the sacrifices of their ancestors and discover the role played by their local communities in wars, conflicts and peace-keeping missions.
As well as looking back through history, the Register looks to the future by using the Internet to record the images and details of NSW's war memorials, allowing the Anzac tradition to be remembered by generations to come.
ClubsNSW is pleased to share in the development of the Register of War Memorials in NSW.

MERRYLANDS RSL

Merrylands RSL is proud to support the War Memorials website, as we believe in the long term recognition of perpetual memorials within our State. We are committed to working together with the RSL to provide our young people with a better understanding of the successes of the men and women who fought so bravely.

FAIRFIELD RSL

We at Fairfield R.S.L Sub-Branch and Memorial Club are happy to support the ClubsNSW initiative to involve students in researching War Memorials in NSW. In this way, younger generations will remember the sacrifices service personnel have made to ensure that freedom and democracy are preserved, as are the principles of mateship and courage.
Lest we forget.

CANTERBURY HURLSTONE PARK RSL

Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL Club, together with the Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL Sub Branch, is proud to support the ClubsNSW War Memorials fund. In our communities, war memorials are important reminders that the freedoms we enjoy and cherish came at a terrible cost to each community. Accordingly, we should cherish these memorials, and recording each one is an important way to do this.
The involvement of local schools in the project was an important factor in our decision to support the project. Our Club and Sub Branch have always fostered close links with local schools through Anzac Day celebrations and other activities. These celebrations help to remind everyone of the sacrifices made in defence of Australia's freedom, and to instil in our young people the importance in our communities of helping each other. We congratulate ClubsNSW and the State Library of NSW for the creation of such an important community resource.
